So to begin my baking endeavors, I thought I'd try a recipe involving my current obsession, veganism.
There are so many myths and misnomers about veganism that it's so interesting for me to learn about. I think people who are able to follow such a life style are worth being admired. Being vegan isn't easy but they are willing to stand up for what they believe in.
So without further ado, here are the Vegan Cupcakes Takeover The World cupcakes I made:
Go ahead. Pretend that doesn't look delicious.
These cupcakes were freaking amazing. I have to admit as an omnivore, I really didn't expect them to be that good because it was a vegan recipe, but Jesus, these were amazing. I've never had a vegan anything before so this gets an A+ in my book.
I ate four but felt really fat because they were quite filling. Totally worth it. If you want to see more pictures of the deliciousness You can look at my Flickr.

Mmmm those look gorgeous!! I've been trying to avoid baking dessert lately (mostly because I just end up eating it all myself) but these look fantastic.
I love your blog by the way! Thanks for linking to mine. :)
Just found this blog and LOVE it.
question though: why won't anyone ever post recipes from Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World? So curious...
YES! These are my favorite cupcakes and I absolutely love that book! I just got a copy a few weeks ago :D
These cupcakes look so good! They're making me hungry! lol
They look amazing!
One of my friends is vegan and I'm sure she has this book. Catering for her needs really opened my eyes to how much you can do with vegan baking! I do, however, still have egg replacer in my cupboard that I used but wasn't 100% convinced about. Everything else has been fabulous though, and I like that you don't feel like you've compromised taste.
It is so hot outside right now. I think everyone here in the DeMazza family of Falls Village, CT would consider me queen of the world if I baked these! Thank you for sharing!
